Local Love | Claude Michelle

I'm a devout fan of Project Runway so anyone that can dream up original ideas or sew gets a gold star in my book. So when I had the opportunity to meet and photograph Claude Michelle, a fashion designer based in Boston, I was pretty excited. Operating out of his home studio, Claude has his own line and also takes on a variety of custom projects for his clients. When I visited Claude was making a shirt from scratch. You read that right... from scratch,  no pattern! He inherited his skills from his mother who has worked as a seamstress for over 40 years. Claude's talent will make you want to have your measurements taken and have him create for you a closet of custom couture.
